To meet the brief, the Firecrest team worked meticulously on the design and plan for the site. Our vision comprised bright and airy spaces suited to couples, close friends and individuals alike, capitalising on views of the surrounding landscape. We also looked to include easy-to-maintain gardens as well as accessible parking, and incorporated inviting, shared open spaces that residents would feel comfortable using.
A new access road was added to the plan, whilst construction included the integration of necessary external works, drainage and incoming services – delivered as specified by the Lavender Fields Care Village team.
Challenges arose with unprecedented market inflation and global delays on key materials. Not one for compromising on quality, the team at Firecrest still managed to deliver on the brief with the client’s budget in mind, thanks to creative responses to such hurdles.
The finished result? An immaculately executed suite of homes completed successfully in October 2022, as the initial phase of Lavender Fields’ care village plan. Following such a stellar project, our client asked us to design and construct a brand new 72 bed care home, which would sit on the same site at Barmby Moor.
