Situated in Lower Wortley, Leeds, Hales Road is part of a key industrial hub for the region, and is home to a plethora of businesses. After purchasing land here – which included an outdated industrial unit – Debra Homes looked to Firecrest to breathe life into the site once more.
The Firecrest team worked conscientiously when it came to demolishing the existing unit, with the goal of accommodating refreshed architecture that would be both functional and aesthetically pleasing for Leeds businesses to fill. This meant working around, and not disrupting, normal business activity throughout Hales Road and the neighbouring areas surrounding it.
The construction of three new units followed, including all eternal works, yards and retaining walls. The buildings were created to house warehouse spaces on the ground floor and offices to the first, which accounted for 10,000 square feet of available space in total.
With market inflation, the cost and availability of key materials meant that this project was not without its trials; though Firecrest’s diligence resulted in meeting the client’s brief without fail.
